Empanada’s Place is a little place in Costa Mesa that serves nothing but empanadas. I’ve had empanadas from Argentina so believe me when I say I know what an empanada from Argentina tastes like. That said, I have no idea if these empanadas taste like the ones from Argentina. Why? Because my brain has turned to mush in my old age and I can’t remember anything that happened more than a week ago. Wait, where am I? What exactly am I typing here? Lamp!

Cheesy Spicy Beef – Ground beef with peas, carrots, potatoes, and fresh mozzarella cheese. Not very spicy, but oh so delicious. Beef, cheese, and potatoes? If you screw that up you’ve got serious issues with your kitchen.

Spicy Chicken – Fresh California grown chicken with bell peppers, onion, tomatoes, and spices

Spinach – Chopped fresh spinach, melted with parmesan, mozzarella cheese and white sauce. I guess this one is a little more unique to Empanada’s Place, as they consider it an “exclusive delicacy.” The cheese and spinach go well together, but I just prefer my empanadas with a little protein in them.
