I’m kind of over the whole cupcake thing, so it was refreshing to find a truck that specialized in more than just cupcakes. The Bakerytruck is the name of the truck that the Morsels Baking Company sends out, and while they’ve got cupcakes, they appear to specialize in cream puffs. Anybody who knows me knows I love a good cream puff, so this was pretty much perfect. I didn’t even bother with any real food, I just saw the Bakerytruck and decided to skip lunch and go straight for dessert. That’s right, ladies. I’m a loose cannon. Unpredictable and dangerous. And sexy.
Strawberry Banana Cream Puff – Good texture and not too sweet. As far as cream puffs go, this was pretty damn solid. Like all cream puffs, once you take a bite everything goes spilling everywhere, but that’s to be expected. Usually I might blame stale puff pastry or poor construction, but this time I could only blame my own sloppy eating habits.
Chocolate Chip Cookie – Since a cream puff doesn’t really make for a meal, I decided to follow up my dessert with more dessert. Like the cream puff, the chocolate chip cookie was solid. While not unique in any way, it’s about as good a chocolate chip cookie as you can get. Imagine the last really good chocolate chip cookie you had, and it’s probably pretty similar to that.
