My cousin and I ended up at Fujin Tree 353 Cafe because we were looking for dessert after grabbing food at the cold noodle place down the street. My cousin said she had heard about the place from a friend. Or maybe she said her friend owned it. Or her friend used the bathroom here once? A friend was involved somehow.
We ended up getting a green tea cake and this other weird spongecake thing. The spongecake thing was better than the green tea cake thing, but both were pretty good. The best part about this place is how cool you feel eating here. It’s got a hiptser artisan aesthetic that’s distinctly Taiwanese, but would fit right in in Portland. Once I walked in, I instantly felt the need to cross my legs, take a sip from my milk tea, and start discussing art or something. Like how art is really, uh, good to look at. Because of it’s, um, paint. Sometimes. And sometimes sculptures. See how cultured I am?
