I’m a pretty big fan of hipster coffee joints. Not because I enjoy seeing weirdos with neck beards and skinny jeans, but because they take their coffee way too seriously which usually means it’s delicious. And Intelligentsia is no different. Yeah, $5 – $6.50 can be a little expensive for a cup of black coffee, but that’s the price you pay if you want beans from places like Takesi, Bolivia. And, sure, why wouldn’t you? It’s got hints of nut and a creamy earthy aftertaste (I made all of that up, I don’t actually know what it tastes like). I ordered an Angeleno (four shots of Black Cat espresso, agave syrup, and milk over ice) and it was bloody delicious. Yeah, four shots of espresso might be a little excessive, but that’s what it takes to keep a man of my amazing stature going. You think these muscles run off my good looks? No sirree. It’s all caffeine, baby!

Angeleno (four shots of Black Cat espresso, agave syrup, milk) – So simple. So strong. So amazingly delicious and refreshing. If I didn’t live so damn far, I’d probably pick up one of these every morning before heading out into the world to kick ass.
