When some people eat Ethioipian food they view it as an excuse to eat with their hands. Well I stopped maturing after the second grade, so I view every dining experience as an excuse to eat with my hands. And Tana Ethiopian in Anaheim is no exception. I’ve only had Ethiopian a handful of times so I’m not really qualified to judge the authenticity of the cuisine, but I can say that this place was just as good as any other place I’ve tried, including in Washington D.C., which has the largest Ethiopian population in the United States. So take that, every other place but Washington D.C.

Yebeg Tibs (cubes of lamb sauteed with onions, garlic, tomato, with awaze) – Probably the best thing we had. A) because it wasn’t vegetarian and B) because it was delicious.

Vegetarian Delight – Basically a hodge podge of vegetables. When people ask me to describe Ethiopian food, I usually give them the (highly offensive) explanation that it’s like eating different piles of mush. It’s a wonder I haven’t won a Pulitzer yet.
