I might not have the most sophisticated palate ever, but I know what I like. And I like ramen. Most really good ramen places are pretty similar, but what sets Ramen Parlor apart is they infuse their broth with lobster flavoring. I don’t know if that means they actually put a real lobster in there or if they have lobster-flavored powder or what, but it’s good. And, more importantly, it’s different. Like me. Or at least that’s what the school counselor always told my parents. I’m special!

Parlor Ramen – Garlic Lobster Pork Flavor (lobster enhanced broth with deep fried soft shell crab) – There’s a lot of flavors going on here. You’ve got your standard ramen broth but then they’ve thrown in some garlic and some lobster flavoring. What you end up with still still tastes like your standard delicious ramen but with, uh, hints of garlic and lobster. Yeah. Go figure. And you’d think they’d put in a piece of lobster in their lobster-flavored ramen, but they actually throw in a chunk of soft shell crab instead. I’m not complaining, since I love soft shell crab, but it’s just a little curious. Especially since I don’t recall actually seeing any lobster on the menu. Where is this lobster-flavoring coming from? How far up does this conspiracy go?! Somebody get me in touch with the White House.

Beef Tataki – There are few things I like more than beef tataki. The thought of eating borderline raw beef can be a little much for some, but if you don’t give beef tataki a chance then you’re seriously missing out. It’s raw meat that’s been dressed up. Sophisticated caveman food. If you don’t love it, there’s a strong possibility we can’t be friends.
